Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Wavri! By using this website and our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Wavri is a platform powered by The Nolton Initiative for Development, focused on mobilizing Africans around the world to fund sustainable development across Africa. These Terms govern your use of www.wavri.com (the “Site”) and all services provided.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised terms.

2. Who We Are

Wavri is a platform that allows Africans (home and abroad) to fund and support vetted social development projects. We ensure transparency, accountability, and measurable impact for every dollar.

3. Eligibility & Registration

To use certain features, you may be required to register and create an account. You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate, current information
  • Keep your credentials confidential

You are solely responsible for all activity under your account. Wavri will not be liable for losses caused by unauthorized access unless due to gross negligence on our part.

4. Contributions & Membership

Wavri offers one-time and recurring membership contributions starting from $10/month. By making a payment, you agree that:

  • Contributions are voluntary and non-refundable
  • You can cancel monthly subscriptions at any time via your profile
  • Funds are allocated transparently as outlined on our platform

All transactions are processed securely through third-party payment processors. Their terms apply to your payment and data.

5. User Conduct & Responsibilities

By accessing Wavri, you agree to:

  • Use the platform legally and ethically
  • Not share false or misleading information
  • Not tamper with or disrupt the platform

You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content unless explicitly authorized.

6. How Funds Are Used

 Here’s our standard fund allocation (unless otherwise communicated):

  • 40% to sustainable development projects (jobs, education, health, skills, etc.)
  • 20% to direct charitable efforts (emergency support, relief, etc.)
  • 20% to marketing and community engagement
  • 20% to operations

All fund movements are documented in our financial reports displayed on the impact dashboard.

7. Transparency & Accountability

We commit to:

  • Publishing frequent updates and reports.
  • Vetting all projects and partners before funding.
  • Giving subscribers a voice in how impact is made.

You agree not to misuse the platform, manipulate processes, or impersonate others.

8. REFUND POLICY

Due to the nature of our pooled and distributed impact model, contributions are non-refundable. However, you may cancel future recurring subscriptions at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and materials on the Site are owned or licensed by Wavri and protected by applicable laws. You may not use them without permission.

10. Privacy & Data Use

We are committed to protecting your data. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect and use personal information.

11. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and tracking tools for functional and analytical purposes. By using the Site, you consent to our cookie usage.

Wavri may link to third-party websites. We do not control or endorse their content and are not responsible for your use of them.

13. Limitation of Liability

While we aim to provide uninterrupted service, we are not liable for any damages arising from:

  • Site downtime
  • Payment errors caused by third-party providers
  • Unauthorized account access not caused by our negligence

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account or service at our discretion, especially in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or breach of terms. You also can stop using Wavri at any time. If you wish to close your account, just contact us or use your dashboard. 

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wavri, its partners, and affiliates from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

17. WAVRI’s Rights

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we do, we’ll notify you. Continued use of the platform means you accept the changes.

We also reserve the right to:

  • Change how the platform works
  • Modify pricing, features, or structure
  • Decline or refund a contribution if we suspect fraud or misuse
